Matthieu Godard founded the firm in 2018 after practicing for 10 years in international corporate law firms in Paris and London. A graduate of Sorbonne Law School with an LL.M. from the London School of Economics, he advises companies on strategic growth and restructuring operations.
Specializing in M&A and fundraising, Matthieu supports startups in seed stage as well as SMEs and mid-sized companies in external growth operations. He has participated in over 50 transactions, representing a cumulative volume exceeding €200M.
His vision: combining legal rigor with operational pragmatism to support entrepreneurs in their most ambitious projects.

Claire Moreau joined Godard & Associés as partner in 2020, bringing her sharp labor law expertise acquired over 12 years of practice. A graduate of Université Paris-Dauphine with a Master's degree in Social Law, she provides counsel and litigation services to both employees and employers.
Recognized for her empathetic approach and procedural rigor, Claire favors dialogue and amicable solutions. When litigation is unavoidable, she ensures firm and strategic defense before labor courts and courts of appeal.
She has litigated over 100 cases before labor courts, achieving significant results for both employer and employee clients.

Thomas Leroy joined the firm as partner in 2021, bringing rare expertise at the intersection of law and technology. An engineer graduated from CentraleSupélec and a specialized IP lawyer, he possesses dual expertise particularly valuable for tech companies.
Before joining the bar, Thomas worked for 3 years as an R&D engineer in a deeptech startup, giving him deep understanding of his clients' technical challenges. He advises startups, scale-ups, and innovative companies on all legal aspects of innovation, from IP protection to GDPR.
Thomas is also a regular trainer at Parisian incubators and accelerators (Station F, HEC Incubator) on legal topics related to innovation.
